SOIREE UNDER THE STARS- 2024 FUNDRAISER

On September 12th, our guests enjoyed a lovely evening hosted by Sean and Jennifer O'Leary. We were thrilled with the pizza truck and delicious refreshments, and our friends had a chance to meet with our candidates who are running for East Greenwich Town Council and School Committee. This special occassion helped us kick off peak campaign season and support the fundraising efforts of the EGRTC and candidates. We are truly grateful to our generous hosts and donors.

Couldn't make it, but still wish to donate? Go to https://egrtc.square.site. Your support is most appreciated.

EAST GREENWICH MAIN STREET STROLL 2024

Republican candidates for Town Council Kurt Hamel and Peter Rodgers and School Committee candidate Schuyler Weiss greeted lots of friendly folks at the August Main Street Stroll. Our favorite question from a little future voter: "Are you running for President?"

SIGNING PARTY 2024

In order for our candidates to get on the ballot, they needed to obtain signatures on their nomination papers from registered East Greenwich voters which we gathered at our Signing Party on Monday, July 8th. We were delighted to see many friends old and new who came out to support our candidates. The minimum number of signatures required by the Board of Elections for each candidate is 50, but we obtained almost 100! Thank you for your support!

FOOD DRIVE FOR OPERATION STAND DOWN RHODE ISLAND

Thanks to the generosity of those who attended our April meeting, these pantry staples were delivered to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island to support veterans in need.

EARTH DAY CLEAN UP

Thank you to these fine people who helped with our Earth Day Clean Up on April 21, 2024. They removed lots of trash and downed branches from EG Historic Cemetery #30, the resting place of the Johnson Family. Due to its proximity to South County Trail, there was all kinds of rubbish that had accumulated. They also removed a worn American Flag which will be properly disposed of. Now, visitors have a clear path to the gravesites of some of our town’s early residents.

PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY BALLOT SIGNATURE PARTY 2024

On January 6, the EGRTC hosted a Signature Party to allow registered East Greenwich voters to stop by and sign presidential primary ballots. Voters enjoyed yummy refreshements and good conversation while taking part in this important civic opportunity. In Rhode Island, presidential candidates must obtain 1000 signatures in order to appear on the ballot. We look forward to the April primary!

TRIVIA NIGHT FUNDRAISER 2023

On October 16, the EGRTC hosted a fun and family-friendly Trivia Night event at The Patio on Main Restaurant. All the "wicked smaht" people gathered for some healthy competition and a chance to prove their knowledge of history, politics, and pop culture. The winning team walked away with bragging rights and a gift card to The Patio. Our MC for the evening was the talented comedian Mike Murray. We also had a silent auction, all proceeds of which will go towards our campaign fund for our 2024 candidates for local and state office. We look forward to hosting more fun community events in the future.

EAST GREENWICH MAIN STREET STROLL 2023

Some of our EGRTC Board members spread the word about our committee and spoke with lots of friendly folks at the August 24 Stroll.

ANNUAL FUNDRAISER 2022

Our gathering at Finns Harborside on September 8th was a big success! Our candidates shared their vision for bringing balance to EG. Thanks to our supporters, we met our fundraising goal for covering the cost of our election mailer. Many thanks to all who attended and who donated our beautiful silent auction items!
