Wreaths Across America

EGRTC is proud to sponsor Wreaths Across America

Together with other Republican Town Committees, on December 14th, some members of the EGRTC participated in the Wreaths Across America (WAA) program at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI. The ceremony and wreath laying on the graves of military members served to “remember the fallen, honor those who serve, and teach our children the value of freedom.” The EGRTC also donated nine wreaths to the organization as part of our annual support of this mission. 

The moving ceremony included Sea Cadets & Civil Air Patrol who honored the Gold Star Families. Also, the Rhode Island Chapter of Rolling Thunder and local youth sports teams were on hand to share in the occasion. 

The WAA organization provides comfort to grieving families who visit the resting places of their loved ones at the holidays and honors the sacrifice these heroes made on behalf of our country.
